On January 17th, the opening ceremony of the event and the 16th China Planting Forum were grandly held at the Longping Science and Technology Hall on the first floor of Building 1 of Yuelu Mountain Laboratory in Changsha. Provincial and municipal government leaders, honorary chairman of Hunan Plant Extract Association Liu Zhonghua, Zeng Jianguo, and many other academicians and experts gathered with thousands of industry participants. Leaders and academicians resigned, stating that the plant extract industry, as a hub connecting agriculture and the health industry, plays a crucial role in promoting rural revitalization and creating new growth in the biopharmaceutical industry. At the same time, the leaders also emphasized that they will continue to implement relevant policies, provide financial support, technological innovation, market expansion, and other aspects to safeguard the development of the industry, and help Hunan's plant extraction industry upgrade towards standardization, internationalization, and high added value.

Subsequently, two rounds of signing ceremonies were held on site. Furong District and Datong Lake District are working together to outline a new blueprint for cross regional cooperation, and Longping Industrial Development Zone has signed a collaborative development agreement with the Hunan Planting and Grape Association. Zeng Jianguo's report on the "National Major Scientific and Technological Infrastructure Plan for Traditional Chinese Medicine Germplasm Research" provides guidance for basic research in the plant extraction industry; Zheng Qunyi's report on "40 Years of Development and Future Prospects of Plant Extracts" consolidates the consensus on the development of the plant extract industry; Yu Zhibin presents a report on "Exploration of Plant Extract Export and Transformation in 2025" to explore innovative opportunities in the plant extract industry.
